Edmond Thommen - Photographic Artist ‘To be unique in the art world involves an unflinching commitment to one's own visual language'

Contemporary Sydney photographic artist draws on 40 years as a successful
graphic designer to produce a unique and sensual body of work – ‘Blended Nudes’.

Traditional darkroom practise meets modern software technology.

A metamorphosis of charismatic nudes and organic urban textures. Sometimes obvious or only revealed by searching the engaging space.

His vision crosses over between photograph

y, painting, and graphics to form
wonderful new expressions.

His mastery of colour and form create enduring works of simple complexity. Edmond’s ‘Blended nudes’ have a personality of their own, they playfully
invite you in to explore. He’ll blur lines, soften edges and abstract elements to leave the work open for an interpretation that the viewer can call his or her own.

My friend & Art appreciator Eleane Eguia created a cool video of my exhibition on FM el Podcast I Femme Modele.

As we dive deep into “Under Her Skin” by Edmond Thommen: a journey through the feminine shapes and figures blended by the natural forms of nature — leaves and flowers, textures and colours.

Edmond invites us to navigate an exquisite voyage where the female body meets technique, where the beauty of nature in all its forms is married perfectly with line, colour and emotion.

Discover the natural symmetry that emerges within this brief solo exhibition at M2 Gallery, 4/450 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Sydney.
