Yesterday afternoon we were onboard for our calendar shoot destined for a beautiful cocktail cruise, and what an absolute pleasure it was! 🥂📸

From the moment we stepped onboard, the incredible team made us feel so welcome and completely at home. Their warmth, energy and genuine hospitality made the afternoon even more special. ❤️

Mother Nature turn up the wind and we couldn't leave the harbour 🌬️, “We can’t control the wind, but we can always adjust our sails.” 🌬️⛵

We embraced the wild weather, laughed our way through it and made the absolute most of a beautiful afternoon filled with incredible people, plenty of love and even more laughter!

What an absolute pleasure it was to photograph Logan for his Year 12 Formal! 🤍

Such a privilege to capture this special milestone and to spend time with such a wonderful young man and his beautiful family.

Logan is a true credit to his family, and it was so lovely to see the love, pride and support surrounding him — especially having three generations there to celebrate this special moment together. 🥹❤️

As Logan prepares to step beyond the school gates and into the next chapter of his life, I wish him nothing but the very best. May he chase every dream, embrace every opportunity and achieve everything he hopes for — and so much more!

Congratulations, Logan! What an exciting road lies ahead. 🎓✨

If there's one thing I'm an absolute sucker for... it's love and a country wedding. 🤍🤠

There is just something so special about watching two people promise forever, surrounded by the people who love them most. The boots, the hats, the dust, the sunsets, the laughter, the happy tears, the dance floor that somehow always ends up full... I love every single part of it!

You're probably pondering why I don't photograph more weddings than just the handful I have the pleasure of capturing each year? The truth is simple... time is precious, and family will always come first... If you know me well enough, you know my story, and you know just how deeply I understand that tomorrow is never promised.... Those moments with the people I love, are something I never take for granted 💞.

So when Zac and Tori's wedding invitation landed in our hands, I may have quietly slipped my camera into the car for a "just in case" moment. 😉📸

Now, before anyone asks—I wasn't the official wedding photographer. I was simply there as a guest, celebrating two incredible people! But when word got around that there were a few 'unofficial photos' that just had to be captured down by the creek with the bridal party... well, I happily put my hand up to capture them and went along for the ride!

And goodness, am I glad I did!

No timelines. No pressure. Just genuine moments shared amongst friends, surrounded by towering eucalyptus trees, a quiet little creek and the raw beauty of the Australian bush. It's the kind of setting that reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

Congratulations again, Zac & Tori. Thank you for letting me sneak in and capture a few memories that I hope you'll treasure forever. ❤️

We are absolutely blown away by the generosity and support of our local community! ❤️

When we first shared our vision of bringing together some incredible local cancer fighters for a special fundraising photoshoot, we hoped people would get behind the cause. What we didn't expect was the overwhelming kindness that has followed.

We are excited to share that we have found the perfect tree for our photoshoot, and it is absolutely stunning! 😍🌳 Thank you to Michelle Flynn, Hayley Krajc and David Soper for helping to connect the dots! Photo credit to Nicole Riella (tagged in comments), thank you 😍.

We have also been incredibly fortunate to have a local business ETCH Laser Engraving generously donating and creating the letters for our shoot, spelling out the powerful words:

These letters are being prepared in time for our photoshoot on the 30th of June and will help bring this meaningful project to life!

✨ COMMUNITY CALL OUT — HELP US SPELL OUT HOPE 💗 ✨

Our upcoming community photoshoot is all about celebrating connection, strength, courage and hope — bringing together incredible women, sharing stories, and raising much needed funds for specialised equipment at the Mackay Base Hospital.

We are reaching out to our amazing local business community for someone who would love to come on board and help bring this vision to life. 💕

We are looking for a business who could kindly donate large wooden letters (similar to our LOVE letters pictured) so we can create the powerful words:

✨ CONNECTION
✨ STRENGTH
✨ COURAGE
✨ HOPE

These letters will become a meaningful part of the photoshoot, helping us create beautiful images while representing the journey, resilience and support within our community.

🌸 I Need Your Help! 🌸

I am involved in a very special project, and I need the help of our amazing community to find the perfect location.

Last year, I planted a seed in the minds of some incredible ladies about a project I would love to bring to life. They took that seed as food for thought and have been working tirelessly behind the scenes ever since to help turn this idea into a reality.

Together, we are creating something truly special that will help raise much-needed funds for the purchase of specialised equipment at Mackay Base Hospital to assist with cancer detection and early diagnosis.

As part of this project, I am searching for a beautiful pink tree in full bloom to use as the backdrop for a group photograph. This image will celebrate and honour a group of extraordinary women who are fighting cancer battles with courage, strength, and grace; showcasing them in their most vibrant light.

If you know of a pink flowering tree anywhere in the Mackay or Pioneer Valley region, have a contact who may be able to help, or even have one in your own backyard that you would be willing to let us photograph beneath, we would be forever grateful.

What a pleasure it has been to judge at the Pioneer Valley Show Photography Competition this year and give back to a competition that has played such a significant role in my growth as a photographer over the years 💞

As a family, we would race to the photography exhibit as soon as the doors opened at 10am, excited to see whether we had received a placing. Being part of this competition, showcasing your work, and appreciating the incredible talent you are up against is a feeling like no other.
As I stepped into the role of judge, I found myself reflecting on my father's words: "Judging is one person's opinion." And he was exactly right.

In an ideal world, everyone would be a winner. Every entrant has invested time, effort, creativity, and money into capturing their images, mounting them on those black cards, and getting them to the show. I truly appreciate the commitment that goes into entering a competition like this.

What I can say is that judging is no easy gig! The standard of photography on display at the Pioneer Valley Show is outstanding, and the exhibit is an absolute must-see.
My biggest takeaway is this: we all start somewhere. If you've ever thought about giving photography a go, or entering a competition in any field that interests you, what have you got to lose? It might just be the thing that propels you in the right direction. Before you know it, you could find yourself exactly where I am today — putting on the judge's hat and encouraging the next generation of talented entrants.

Thank you to everyone who entered and shared a piece of their creativity with us! What a pleasure it was to be a judge amongst such talent.
