If people think that Bird Flue entering Australia has been overhyped or is some Government conspiracy just imagine an Australia without the laughing Kookaburra or the warbling Magpie or the feisty little Fairy Wrens, or even the screeching Cockatoo. I don’t want to.

Looks like it’s going to be a wet day tomorrow. A good day to print some photos and do some journaling maybe even write a blog post if I feel the urge. I think as we get close to the middle of 2026 and reflect on the first half of the year I think “tough” is the word I would use. The tough economic environment and the wars and being bombarded by negative news via the media. To that you can add social media influencers who peddle “Toxic Positivity” if you are feeling down or not your usual optimistic self then that’s ok. Ignore those that tell you it’s your fault and just get over it. Humans evolved with a range of emotional states. Be kind to yourselves hunker down because times will get better. Below is a Superb Fairy Wren I took a number of years ago. There is still beauty in nature to uplift the soul.
