first time mucking around on a macro lens, the "Canon RF 100mm USM IM macro" to be specific...a good bit of kit!

I was just about to pack up my gear when a stunning Whistling Kite landed on the remains of a tree right in front of me. It’s a reminder that sometimes it pays to slow down and truly take in what’s around us.

This little, Yellow-tinted Honeyeater popped up for a good scratch against this branch.

There are no real identifying features between females and males from afar, apart from the males get a bit larger. so, I couldn't identify the s*x. but either way...what a spectacular bird

Who doesnt love puppies on their feed?

Maui & Molly...this was taken over a year now, maui is his usual goofy self and molly is a proper nugget now but they both still play like the best friends the were from day 1...might need to do a "then & now"?

The gorgeous "Rainbow bee eater" such a pleasure photographing these little birds! Rainbow bee eaters are immune to bee and wasp stings but will still rub them up against the perch to remove the sting and venom glands before eating them!

I think this little guy deserved his own piece. He was soo adamant on being photographed, he kept on popping up in my lense almost everywhere i turned 😅 A well know aussie icon...the "Willy-wagtail" of the Fantail family.
