I’ve been sitting on this thought for a long time.

When I’m working a wedding, I’m carrying multiple cameras, lenses, and flashes. My mind and body are completely dialed into the room—watching for subtle glances, unscripted tears, and split-second moments.

In the middle of all that, how am I supposed to suddenly switch gears, pull out my phone, and think about social media?

Documenting a wedding is a job I genuinely love. But the pressure to catch every single meaningful moment is very real. Adding the weight of the social algorithm—which constantly tells us we need more video, more Reels, and more behind-the-scenes clips just to be seen—left me asking myself: Should I really be worrying about this?

The answer I landed on is no.

My energy on your wedding day belongs to you, not to my feed. I’m choosing to prioritize art and presence over content creation.

To my past and future couples: thank you for trusting me to be fully in the moment with you.
