🎂✨ ONE YEAR OF PURE CUTENESS! ✨🎂

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this little superstar for her 1st Birthday Cake Smash! 🥳📸

And while the cake smash is always the big finale, sometimes it’s the little moments in between that steal the show. 💕 These are a few of my favourites from the session — from those gorgeous smiles to the curious little expressions and, of course, plenty of personality!

She certainly wasn’t shy in front of the camera! 😍

It’s such a privilege being able to capture these milestones and create memories that families can look back on for years to come.

**🦅 Nature's Aerial Battle 🖤**

One of the things I love most about wildlife photography is that you never know what you're about to witness.

While photographing a **Whistling Kite**, I suddenly found myself watching an incredible display of instinct and determination. A crow had ventured a little too close to the kite's nesting territory, and the Whistling Kite wasted no time making its intentions clear.

For several minutes, the kite relentlessly escorted the crow away from its nest, diving, turning, and matching every move. The crow repeatedly tried to evade the attacks, but the kite remained focused on a single goal—protecting nest.

These photographs capture just a few moments from that aerial encounter:
📸 The initial confrontation.
📸 The high-speed chase through the sky.
📸 The crow finally retreating as the Whistling Kite successfully defended its territory.

It's a powerful reminder that every bird has a role to play in nature. While crows are incredibly intelligent and opportunistic, birds of prey like the Whistling Kite will fiercely defend their nests against any potential threat.

Moments like these are sometime a little bit of luck—but they're exactly why I love photographing Australian wildlife.
