The Mosque is located in the centre of the Sayyid Al-Shuhada area in Uhud, Madinah, Saudi Arabia. It can accommodate 15 thousand worshippers at a time. It is the site where Prophet Muhammed ﷺ took part in one of the most important battles in Islamic history, the battle of Uhud. The site also houses a cemetery where the bodies of 70 of the Prophet’s ﷺ followers were buried following the battle.
