I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and all your dreams and wishes came true seeing in the new year.
Unfortunately 2024, was one of the worst years of my life, I am still recovering major neck surgery, and am currently waiting to see if it settles and the symptoms ease and can go through lower back surgery.
I never thought I would have had to create a memory video montage for our mum so soon, mum was first diagnosed with terminal liver cancer back in June 2024, best case scenario she was given 2 years, worst case scenario 6 months. Her first round of chemo resulted in heart failure, then mum fractured her leg days later tripping over in her bedroom delaying her chemo treatments. Her second round of chemo resulted in heart failure again and they discovered she had a weak heart and a leaking heart valve causing major fluid buildup in her lungs and around her heart. It was inoperable due to her having terminal liver cancer. We thought we had more time with mum but her heart was failing and she passed away peacefully.
On December 21 2024, Our mum passed away at the Melwood Palliative Care Unit in St Luke’s Hospital in Launceston.
On December 30 2024, we had her funeral service and here is the photo montage I created in her memory that was played at her service.
