What to wear? Simple items can work extremely well. Subtle colour that works with your skin tones and hair works best. I especially love the tones and harmonious colour palette in these. Very elegant and I believe there’s an enduring quality in such.

This audio hit me in the throat… yes.. it’s why I’m here.

Aside from my duties working with TFF, I’ve had some downtime to think about the direction of Photographique Studio.

Ai has stripped me of the hope I could continue to create whimsical creative style images because, hey it can outperform me and my compositing skills.

However something Ai cannot do is provide a warm heart, a welcoming and safe space, a place to feel seen and a moment entirely for you- no-one else.

Here permission is freely granted to have a beautiful record of you and your feminine soul & spirit captured in Photographique art.

POSING: many balk at the idea of being posed and yet it’s a great way to explore different ways of seeing yourself.

By talking with you I endeavour to get to know who you are, the different facets of your character & personality. We then move through multiple outfits, props & poses to discover what images feel like a good fit, a representation of who you’d like to see shown back to you.

It’s not stuffy, it’s actually a lot of fun. I call it a play day. We experiment and see what we can create together.

Very few of my clients are models. Everyday people (myself included) are not able to determine what to do with our bodies in relation to what the camera sees. It takes a bit of practice to do so…hey I still can’t photograph myself well.

However my expert eye looking through the lens will give you lots of direction & cues, helping you to feel more comfortable and confident.

Yes my images are posed. It’s a process and another way to help you look awesome & feel great.

Headshots for Gary Gower- Local legend & secondhand furniture dealer in Invermey. Such a nice guy and I’ve had many pleasant experiences locating items utilising his expertise. So this time, tables turned & we created some well deserved photos to reflect the man he is and business it’s becoming.

Announcing Author Duncan Richie and his newly published novel! The Truth Chamber is a fast paced political thriller drawing from his interest in political history and ‘what if’ scenarios that now, do not seem too far from current events.

Duncan came to me for headshots and then brought his sidekick companion Aletheia ( Al’e) -a lovely Malinois doggo into the studio for portraits.

Let’s face it, pregnancy is not really the most glamorous time of life and yet it’s one most worthy of honour.

CREATIVE SESSION with MAJICK FEATHERS (not Ai)
The Birdy Bus parked out front with curious onlookers.. out came the cages as exotic parrots were ushered into the building. I’m certain screeches and squarks could be distantly heard bouncing through the C*D.

What a novelty to have these quirky companions come visit. It feels like a VIP experience, getting to see them up close.

Quite likely you’ve seen Nate walking Puppy the white cockatoo around. Puppy was a random accidental egg turned into now quite the conversationalist & emerging local icon.

Not Ai, but likely assumed it is. I would throw fabric, photograph & blend, something I might decide to do for clients and in this case, a motherhood session.

I really saw myself doing more of this kind of artist’s work but the time involved in blending elements are all too easily dismissed as Ai.

Perhaps digital art photography may very well be on the way out?

I still love the end results and creating a bespoke art piece for Mum & Bub was really very rewarding.
