It only seems like yesterday that he was born and now he’s popped the question and is gonna marry his beautiful girl.

We had the perfect day celebrating their love, despite the crazy heat, and I am beyond happy for them.

With Autumn well and truly kicking in, photograph fodder on the surface appears to be thin on the ground, with piles of dead leaves, grey skies and very few flowers left in the garden. But while outside looking at the dregs of my summer garden I spied this, simply enchanting little hydrangea bud in one of my little makeshift greenhouses (soft drink bottles on pots). I have three of them seemingly thriving in their little hot houses on top of the half finished pizza oven and I'm not so quietly proud of my first attempt at propagating hydrangeas. Fingers crossed they keep up the great work through winter.

I bought a couple of stunning little pink roses on the weekend, in serious need of repotting and cutting back, but they look and smell divine so I cut the blooms off and put the plant in the ground. Looking forward to seeing what they bring me next Spring.

The bees are loving my new, and last of the season, dahlias. Look how much pollen he has stacked on his little legs!!
