Fascination Fotos - online gallery of my photographic subjects - nature, wildlife, landscapes and other topics that inspire me: with some philosophy thrown in on the side… Established in 2013, Fascination Fotos is a resource featuring photographs covering a wide range of topics, from landscapes and well-known landmarks, to obscure and remote locations, flora and fauna, to specialised subjects; in

fact anything that has stimulated a sense of 'Fascination'. This photographic collection spans a period of more than 30 years of photo-taking - some photos that obviously depict a certain 'time and space', and have their own history, while others remain "timeless" - a depiction of a scene in unspecified time, almost transcending the notion of time. Often we as humans are drawn to this sense of timelessness, as we hanker for a certain continuity, especially in relation to our environments; we often attach an emotion to events in our life - places we go, experiences we have - not always by the most imposing or poignant places; indeed, it is more often in the mundane places we frequent, like a path or bridleway that we regularly traverse, giving us time to think, to contemplate, and revel in 'life'. Perhaps this collection of images will stimulate this sense of wonder… the "fascination" that was felt when the photo was taken - the spark of inspiration that led to capturing that moment in time… and place.
