I’ve only known her for around six months, but she truly is one of the kindest and sweetest souls I’ve ever met. The kind of person who carries warmth wherever she goes.

I’ve been thinking about Mother’s Day sessions…

Do I add flowers to the arch seat?
Do I go big with backdrops?

This year I’m keeping Mother’s Day sessions relaxed and natural — held in the studio bedroom space, with soft light, connection and timeless simplicity. We’ll include a few images in the arched wall seat too, but everything will stay true to my classic, minimal style.

I truly love capturing those tender moments with a new baby — that tiny, fragile little person and the overwhelming love and care pouring out of their mother.

It might sound a little sooky… but sometimes when I’m editing galleries, I find myself tearing up. Not because the images are “perfect,” but because the emotion is so real. The connection. The vulnerability. The quiet strength in those early days.

I feel incredibly blessed to be trusted with these moments — to preserve the love, the emotion, and the bond that will one day mean even more than it does now.

And that is why I do what I do 🤍

Sometimes photographing toddlers can be a little… negotiable 😅

You can’t always convince them to give up the snacks, the toys, or the treats just because it’s “photo time.” And little Arthur was being the most perfectly typical two-year-old.

But we made it work — and yes, we even managed to get a photo without the chicken nugget box (when you know, you know 😉).

These are the moments I love most — real life, big personalities, and a little bit of chaos mixed in.

It was so lovely to catch up with this gorgeous family again after their maternity session back in January. Watching these journeys unfold — from bump to baby — is such a privilege and something I never take for granted.

It brings me so much joy building relationships with the families I photograph.

Little Lucas was one of the original Hunter Valley babies I photographed in 2025 — and I’ve had the privilege of capturing him several times throughout his first year. Watching these little ones grow and being invited back to document each milestone is something I never take for granted.

This week I felt so honoured to photograph his cake smash and bath splash session to celebrate his first birthday 🥹🤍

Little Lucas and I are officially mates 🤍

Every time we catch up for photos, he warms up so quickly. Yesterday, as soon as he arrived, he put his arms straight out to me — and my heart just melted.

During their family images we were playing (as we always do), and I captured this exact moment as he reached up trying to grab my glasses off my face 😅

These are the moments I love most — the fun, the crazy, the beautifully raw in-between seconds that just happen. The real connection. The genuine joy.

Because that’s where the magic lives ✨

I’ve been photographing this gorgeous family since Lucas was born… and in just one week he will be ONE 🥹🤍

Today we captured his One Year Milestone, a beautiful family session, a super fun cake smash, and finished with a little bath splash session to wrap it all up.
