Busy morning on the harbour as the full moon set. Pretty lucky to get a small break in the clouds right as it dipped behind the sails of the Opera House

Getting photobombed by the International Space Station

I've had one of these shots on my bucket list for years, but the few times I've gone out to try to capture it the weather didn't cooperate. It was a bit touch and go this time as well, but the clouds stayed away just long enough

Next step is to keep one eye on the transit list and see if I can get it with something more interesting than a clear blue sky. And probably get a bigger lens, this is very close to a 100% crop

Trying to get out and shoot more is only half the equation. The other half is editing so you have a chance to see and catch the mistakes. Trying to do better on the latter this year, even if life tries to get in the way

Getting back in the swing of things. A few good images from the last full moon of the year, but I'm going to need to relearn a few editing skills I've let atrophy

Also, how good do those Fujifilm colours look? Hard to believe I'm maxing out the ISO to try to stop wind shake

Quick few from the moonrise tonight. No fancy blending or HDR required (just don't look too closely at the noise or bloom). Still very impressive that the camera and pull so much detail from the scene

(Pay no attention to the terrible masking job, I'm a bit out of practice)

Can you spot the photobomber? Swipe if you need a closer crop

Sunset had a small bit of colour tonight, but it was the lack of clouds that had me taking a run into the city. I'm still working on my new moon alignments, but 2% is just barely visible against the evening glow
