After what was a very hectic week getting settled in after the move to Melbourne it was great to get away and start exploring some of what Victoria has to offer. I was lucky enough to spend the majority of this morning’s sunrise at the Twelve Apostles tourist free while the sky put on an unbelievable show for sunrise. 🔥🔥🔥

It's been a while since I've pulled an all nighter for an astro mission. But when Andy Leggett Photography let me know about the potential aurora coming I couldn't pass up the opportunity to head out. We ended up visiting a few locations that didn't really work out before we settled on this gem of a spot. It's safe to say after a bit of perseverance Andy and I were both very happy with the results!

After almost a year without going on any big photography adventures, it was good to get back out there and explore Tassie’s west coast with Andy Leggett Photography. I’ve been meaning to shoot this place for the past five years but just hadn’t found the time to get there. Considering it was a 1200km trip and we only had the weekend I’d say we made a good mission of it. Stay tuned as there’s more shots of this trip I need to go through and plenty more trips planned for this year!

Is it just me or does anyone else sit on shots they’ve taken for a few months before editing them? 🤣 well with nothing else to do at the moment I decided to go through my files and found this shot from an epic trip I took back in January with Kale Thompson - Productions Andy Leggett Photography and Lochie Bevis - Photographer. We decided to head to Tassie’s north east for a bit of photography and 4wding on the dunes, followed by a stop on the way home to Bridstowe Estate

This has been on my bucket list of locations since I started photography and I was so happy that I was able to see the amazing place and tick it off the list. If you get any spare time when the lockdowns ease I definitely suggest taking a moment to go visit!

I took this shot on my last camping trip before the lockdown. It’s funny looking back and realising that no one had an idea of what the world was about to head in and where it would lead us. I can’t believe how much I took for granted just the ability to travel to the other end of the state for a photo mission. With the lockdown restrictions easing soon I know that I’ll be heading out once more and making the most of every opportunity I can!

Capturing stars above cradle mountain has been on the shot list for a while. It wasn't until my recent trip where I was treated to the clear conditions to be able to capture them. I remember when it took this shot there were people still walking around the lakes edge which meant I didn't feel comfortable leaving the camera there while it took the 200+ shots needed for the trail.
