Meet Pablo the Pelican 🥰

On a recent trip to Greenwell Point I snapped this pic on my phone.

A friend of mine has contacted me today and asked if she can enlarge this pic on a canvas and display it in her coastal home. I was flattered to say the least. I can’t wait to see the finished canvas hung in her home 🏡 💕

Anyhoo here’s a pic I took of my baby girl today ! Just graduated from Year 12 and turned 18 yesterday ! Her stunning dress is from Dollhouse-bridesmaids Sydney !

We are awaiting her College acceptance for next year and have everything crossed 🤞🏻

TAA - Flying Horses the Old-Fashioned Way

This is how you flew valuable horses in 1951. Racehorse 'Ungar' is shown alighting from a TAA air-freighter, as it was called. The airline's slogan used to be 'TAA The Friendly Way'. It was certainly a friendly welcome Ungar received!

Aside from the lack of head clearance (shudder!) what other OHS and horse safety issues can you spot you'd never see today?

TAA or Trans Australia Airlines (renamed Australian Airlines in 1986) was one of the two major Australian domestic airlines between its inception in 1946 and its merger with Qantas in September 1992.

We tried to find out more about Ungar without much success. Another Ungar raced in the 1990s as well.
