Now days late sunset timing, gave a chance to grab some colour in sky as background along with firework pre-rehearse display.

Australia Day 2026 firework was a bit of disappointment but on good side managed to pull my camera out after a long time.

Fireworks were poorly executed and lot of people missed the final show of firework as there was gap of almost 2-3 minutes, when everyone thought its done and left the place.

Luckily my camera was still on doing a long exposure shot which I had to turn off and quickly grab the last display of night.

Looking forward to explore more.

Last sunrise 2025, taken on 31-Dec-2025. I didn't explore many sunrises in the second half of 2025, but witnessing the final sunrise of 2025 was certainly enjoyable.

I'm looking forward to witnessing and exploring more in 2026.

Have an awesome 2026.

Happy โ€œFiredayโ€ oops Friday..

Sometime back did some wirewool stuff, need to find a way to add more colours or sparkles to this style of photography.

Stay Safe and enjoy your day.

Forecast was to have some high clouds, & just in time high clouds visited the spot during first light and then again decided to give some backdrop to lighthouse.

It was brief running around to grab some compositions. Sharing complete set of morning.

Started with wide angle 16-35mm , and quickly switched with 70-200m to grab the close up lighthouse with some colours still hanging around.

Location : This spot with amazing rock platform has no name on the map. Its on the south most of Pebbly Beach, Norah Head and North most of Soldiers Beach. Easiest way to find on map is search for "Surfside Snax" cafe.

Vivid 2025 - Few more shots captured before the lights were switched off.

1st image is one of my classic compositions where if you show patience and wait for car light trails, it adds some more curves to the view.

Vivid light trail ferry (2 shots merged) captured the feel of Vivid 2205. Ferries with glowing LEDs should not wait for a year to add some light trails around Opera.

Hopefully my camera does not shy for next year's vivid.

Have a great day and keep enjoying the photography.

Last Saturday, captured some Vibes of Vivid Sydney 2025, photography theme was to capture the light from far away.

For naked eyes on spot, the view still looks dark and not really what you expect from the Vivid around Kirribilli.

But behind the camera screen, long exposures always get some different vibe. Sharing Long exposures captured + add on mess created at the end shots for fun.

Stay safe and must wear some warmer clothes in planning to visit vivid

When you travel to places Crescent Head, NSW only to explore some hidden spot and Mother Nature (tides and sunrise ) favours you.

Under excitement almost lost my camera because it was not tighten enough on tripod and eventually had to settle with broken NISI ND filter ๐Ÿ™‚.Thankfully i had my nisi filter bracket to protect camera.

Feet itching again to visit and explore more NSW.

When the sky was exploding with color, I knew I had to capture the moment in style. ๐ŸŒ…

With sea spray in the air and rapidly changing light conditions, I was hesitant to swap my lens to the 16mm ultra-wide โ€” not worth risking sensor exposure or losing the moment. Instead, I stayed on the 24mm and shot a sequence of 11 overlapping frame over tripod-mounted.

Final image giving me a wide field of view comparable to a 16mm, but with the added benefit of higher resolution and preserved edge-to-edge detail.

I initially considered cropping the it to a 1:2 aspect ratio for a cleaner composition, but after reviewing the full frame, I decided the uncropped version better captured the scale and atmosphere of the scene.

Sometimes itโ€™s better to let the landscape breathe.

Have a good day.

This morningโ€™s view at Bombo Headland Quarry was nothing short of spectacular. The sky transformed from deep purples to fiery oranges, giving a glow over the basalt columns and reflecting beautifully in the rock pools.

The first shot was a 180-second exposure. In photography, 3 minutes can either make or break the momentโ€”especially if your on-the-spot calculations are even slightly off. Still, I took the chanceโ€ฆ and let the camera do its job while I simply soaked in the view with my own eyes.

I did miss an incredible composition (you know the oneโ€”Manuโ€™s shot), but Iโ€™m happy I captured some beautiful reflections of the headland instead.

When you know youโ€™re running late but still just make it in time to witness something unforgettableโ€ฆ thatโ€™s a feeling.
Behind-the-scenes story? Thatโ€™s for another day.

For now, just enjoy each image in this post.
