Art in nature.

Sometimes I annoy myself because I’m constantly seeing life through my lens even when I’m not taking photos, ‘oh that’s a nice photo’ I hear myself say if I don’t have my camera, or ‘stop, I HAVE to take a photo’ and Tom always hits the skids so we can go take some photos, and it’s just a few bits of slate or rock (or whatever has caught my attention at the time 😆) and he’s thinking ‘wtf, there’s nothing exciting there’.

It’s nice to watch his expression after I’ve processed the image, and then uploaded it into the private gallery of all of my favourite Galiwin’ku photos and then show him the finished photo. He always smiles when he looks at the images. It’s cute.

We found this little guy, stranded on dry sand after missing the tide as it went back out. Maybe that means it wasn’t feeling the best. I put it in my croc and carried it back down to the waters edge. It went from a dull colour, to vivid, after being submerged for a short period. I’m mesmerised by how insanely beautiful it is. Nature is literally the coolest. Like, how do these colours even exist - truly incredible 💙🧡💙🧡

Bout time we did an intro here 😅 I remember starting this page, along with my mum and sister, and it feels like it was only a few years ago. The cheeky greys in my hair tell a different story though 😆

This page was created purely for the love of photography. And that has never changed. It’s interesting for me to look back at the photos - even though I try not too, because some of them are so bad it’s embarrassing 😂- but it shows the journey and I love the memories.

I first started learning the technical side of my gear through this page and I’ve come a long way over the years. I still feel as though I don’t really have ‘a style’, which did bother me for a while. All these people better than me saying you ‘need to find your style’. I haven’t and maybe that’s my style.

I’ve let this page sit quietly in the background of my life in recent years. Started a new page for family photography because that felt like the right thing to do. Then I deleted it, because it was overwhelming trying to make multiple accounts work. So now we are keeping it simple, which is exactly how I like it.

So if you’ve hung around long enough to still be here - thank you! I’ve got a million photos, maybe more and lots of stories to share.

And this is my little family. My husband Tom, our very awesome daughter, Ellie and me ☺️
