A different perspective of Goodwyn Island- Dampier Archipelago. I quite like the textures and colours around this island!

Here is a panoramic view of Goodwyn Island in the Dampier Archipelago- I have never photographed this island and I was happy to see some nice textures and colours in this aerial shot. It was a bit windier than I hoped for and the waters around the islands are not as clear as I would like due to never ending winds and big tides but at least in the shallows the water does look ok here.

I have driven many kilometers over the last few days and put my new Mavic 4 Pro to the test. There is a ton of water around these parts at the moment which makes for some epic footage. This drone has the two extra zoom lens and they have allowed me to capture footage I never thought possible. You will see some parts of this vid showcase them. You can get super close video whilst being a long way away plus its just great quality and the low light performance at the end is just ridiculous.
Anyways enjoy this compilation and enjoy the music which I made in my home studio. Make sure you view in 4K and share if you like it! It would look epic on a big screen!

What an epic quick fire 25mm of rain in Karratha this morning! I went for a drive- there's water everywhere. I went inland to try get in front of the storm but it mostly died out by the time I go there. But not all was lost- I noted a rainbow and snapped some pics and got some video. This is about 35kms inland.

I spent all day driving all over the place to get heaps of cool video footage for a compilation showcasing all the nice flowing water everywhere and ended up just past Mairee Pool at sunset where there is this lovely flood plain and just as I hoped at sunset the reflections would be great- I got some great vid but here is a snapshot of it. Hopefully I can finish the vid tomorrow and share all the great footage with you. This new drone is next level- I am very impressed with how well it captures everything- especially in low light such as this image which has almost no noise/artifacts. So good!

What an epic amount of rain around the region from TC Narelle! Today the Maitland River is flooding big time around Mairee Pool, the Fortescue peaked at 5m not too long ago and the Harding River is pumping around Roebourne- not to forget all the usual waterholes inland would also be flowing well. Here is a vertical panoramic image of the Harding River at Roebourne earlier today. I got a bunch of video footage as well but hope to get more from different spots over the weekend then put it all together so you will have to wait for the vid :)

This is one of the first pics I took with the new drone-- its a tiny bay/beach in Cowrie Cove area. Im not sure if it has a name? Anyway it looks really nice :) Classic Burrup. I will be getting heaps more pics of the Burrup and surrounding islands once the weather cools down a bit so keep an eye out.

It was quite a lovely sunset in Karratha this evening with loads of high wispy clouds lighting up the sky. But my focus was this inland storm which unfortunately died as sunset approached but still made for some nice colours and a pretty little rainbow in the middle :) Add some interesting white rocks in the foreground and you have a nice sunset panoramic image! Loving this new Mavic 4 Pro drone :)

I finally upgraded from a Mavic 2 Pro to a Mavic 4 Pro. The Mavic 2 Pro has taken so many great shots over the last 4 years or so but what it was really bad at was low light situations. It had heaps of noise in the images. This new Mavic 4 Pro is insane in low light- even zooming right in on images taken well after sunset shows very little noise and the overall sharpness and clarity are excellent. I took some pics this evening in Nickol Bay around sunset- this one is a crop of an even bigger panoramic image which shows some of Karratha and the tidal flats at low tide. The original files are quite dark on the left hand side but I was able to bring out a fair bit of light without creating excessive noise which is great. Oh and the 4K and 6K video is absolutely amazing! Cant wait to get some more footage/pics with this beast of a drone.
