Have you visited these salt lake statues? 🏊‍♀️

If you're cruising through Western Australia’s Wheatbelt, make sure to stop by the 'Waiting for Hay' statues by local farmer and artist Kelly Browning. Known unofficially as 'Statues Lake', these one-of-a-kind sculptures, made with star pickets, form part of the Kondinin Art Trail. Inspired by her love of swimming, Kelly added an addition called 'Freestyllin' to the mix.

If you're wanting to visit on your next road trip, you can pull up at the parking bay adjacent and view the sculptures from roadside 😍 In the cooler months, the lake has been known to shift colours from white, to icy blue and bright green.

Happy Sunday all!

Unfortunately due to lack of interest, I will not be putting together a 2025 calendar.

For those of you that wanted one, I would urge you to support other Western Australian photographers as there are a few who also do calendars - and also have a bit more time on their hands to shoot more regularly!

We shall try 2026 - thanks all 😘

2025 calendars will not be available unless I can make it worthwhile because it is a time consuming process!

I would be looking at printing 50 that all need to have homes before I commit so if you are interested, let me know by Sunday 10/11

Thinking ahead to 2025! 🌿📆 I’m considering putting together a limited print of 2025 calendars featuring some stunning photography, potentially with lots of breathtaking shots from Iceland 🇮🇸.

If there’s enough interest, it will be a pre-order situation, $35 each, including postage. Let me know if you'd be keen, and if we get enough hands raised, I’ll make it happen!

Gull Rock has always been a favourite of mine 🫶🏻☀️🌊 not only is it where I decided that I’d buy a camera after a sunset date with Photography by Louise May a couple of years ago, but it’s also the perfect spot for a dip or to hide out of the wind & watch sunsets through autumn & winter 👌🏻

Funnily enough, I’d never wanted to capture the Aurora Australis until recently as the Aurora Borealis was always at the forefront of my Aurora obsession.
But last night, before the clouds rolled through hiding the main show (😒), I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to see the dancing lady with the naked eye & share it with my partner 🫶🏻 grabbing a couple of shots before we got carried away by the mozzies!
