Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway - 19th September 2026
Compact Speedcars Queensland - Club Show (Pit Shots)

First event for season 26-27 for myself and it was fun talking and hanging around the compact club.

I just want to highlight a couple of drivers that will be making a debut in the Compact Speedcars Queensland class at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway this weekend.

I have been lucky enough to meet both of these drivers before in past speedway activities. The top image is Ben Malt driving a vintage speedcar a part of the Historic Speedway Association of Australia - HSAA at North Brisbane racetrack back in 2025. Ben has done many meetings with this club at North Brisbane and Boonah Showgrounds.

The bottom image is from last season at River 94.9 Lockyer Valley Speedway where one of the best drivers in the Queensland Microsprints Lucas Dansey hop into the Wilsonracing #98 compact speedcar. He punched out some fast laps on a difficult Gatton track at that meeting.

Wishing both these drivers the best of luck as well as the entire Compact Speedcar field.

Last weekend I picked up the camera again after a long break to photograph on circuit action. A great mixture of action for the day with; Trucks, touring cars, go karts and drifting! I hope the trucks will return again for 2027!

Historic Speedway Association of Australia - HSAA
Long absents for me due to medical reason but I am back and ready for more motorsport action.

Last year I tested my camera's video capabilities at the North Brisbane Speedway Track in between taking photos. I hope to more video work again and continue to improve and learn.
