Subject: Superb Lyrebird
Location: Fitzroy Falls, NSW
Camera: Canon 7D MkII
Lens: Tamron SP150-600mm
Exif: f/7.1, 1/20th, ISO320 -1/3 EV.
Whilst I approached the falls, I heard a great raucous call and standing half hidden amongst the rainforest I spied a Lyrebird singing out over the valley. I couldn't get a clear shot, unfortunately, as it was a very overcast day and the rainforest was letting in very little of the available light. This is the only shot I could get of it's head. At least it's another first that I have captured.

Australian Bustard strolling through the bush of the Townsville Common. It blended into the bush so well I almost missed it. Really happy to get a shot as it was another first for me. One of many firsts during this trip with the Crimson Finch, Jabiru and Brolga some of the others 'firsts'

Handheld and shot from inside my truck. It was a quick snap of six shots and he was gone. I've been chasing this shot (bird) for three years and finally capture him today. So happy :)
