Bridgewater Flood October 14, 2022

The water gradually took its time rising, Bridgewater end up being evacuated and the road along the bridge closed. Unfortunately the pub, post office, bakery and surrounding homes and smaller businesses were flooded.

Please anyone, remember if you see water on the road do not drive through it. You never know how fast the water is flowing and how deep the water is. Your safety is No.1 and our emergency services priority should be on helping those affected by the water, not those who decide to be stupid.

Emerald Spotted Tree Frog:

Peron's tree frog, also known as the emerald-spotted tree frog, emerald-speckled tree frog, laughing tree frog, and maniacal cackle frog, is a common Australian tree frog of the family Pelodryadidae

Habitat: Peron's Tree Frog is found in swamps and billabongs along the River Murray. They occur in most forest habitats, but will also forage in open grassland and other open areas. By day they can be found beneath loose bark on the trunks of gum trees next to rivers and waterholes.

Species: L. peronii
Order: Anura
Genus: Litoria

Due to working and Covid-19 Restrictions during 2019/2020 - I haven't been able to go out explore our beautiful country. All the while though, I had worked hard enough to finally score a decent camera and no longer am using my mobile phone! Woo-hoo! 🎉

So today, my dear brother and I had gone for a drive up to Melville Caves Kooyoora and snapped a few photos as we explored. It's such a beautiful place to visit, and very thankful it's just down the road from home. Feel free to visit one day!
It's only a 17 min drive from Inglewood, VIC, 8 min drive from Rheola, Vic and a 22 min drive from Wedderburn, Vic.

Please sign. This is a great recreational area for families, and those whom are just passing by.

They're letting the water dry up. They have recently built new bathroom facilities and BBQ facilities and now currently building a weir in the channel connecting the two lakes - but what is the point to a weir if there will be no water?

Has anyone heard of Geocaching?
Well I took these photos whilst I was Geocaching, some of the sights I saw were incredible.
I do recommend trying out Geocaching if you're interested in hiking, and bit of an adventure. Geocaching is located all around the world, and you can find little trinkets. If you're to keep one you replace it with a new trinket, also don't forget to fill out the book!
