The Wimmera Kart Racing Club has written to those who were involved with entries to the 2025 Wimmera Victorian Country Series round.

We were surprised by the changes to State Regulations relating to series entries.

In 2025 there were 44 entries from SA visiting Wimmera. That equals nearly one quarter of the entrants for that event.

Shortly we will be attending the Building Better Kart Clubs conference in sunny Adelaide. We plan on discussing these changes at the conference.

It would be extremely helpful if we could go armed with some concrete data.

Would you please take five minutes to complete the survey which you can access by the link sent to you in an email.

If you cannot access the link then please give me a call on 0459026506 and I will organise another way for you to participate.

It would make life easier if you could please complete the survey by Monday 2nd of February.

If you have anything to add that is not in the survey then please let me know via email.

Here is the 2026 calendar for PDKC.
Sorry about the delay. We had to work with the other clubs to get this calendar sorted.
As most would know 2026 will be a little different to previous years. This year we will be moving our club days around each month between Portland Kart Club, Warrnambool Kart Club, South West Kart Club and Hamilton Karting Club.
This is to give more variety in tracks for our members and bigger club days for all.
We encourage all karters to get onboard with this and go to each other's clubs for club days, to support the clubs and also help your sport grow in our corner of Victoria.
If you have any questions, please contact any of the participating clubs.

Hi all, I just wanted to share an update with my followers and all those who have supported me throughout my 45 years in the sport of Karting.

After dealing with a few health issues in late 2024, which required a few operations and three months of recovery, I’m happy to report that I’ve been cleared by my cardiologist to race again.

In a few months, I will be turning 65, and after such a long and fulfilling career in this great sport, I’ve come to the decision that I can no longer compete at the highest level as I once did.

Unfortunately, I just can’t dedicate the time and energy I used to, as I have other commitments in my life at this stage.

With that said, I’d like to announce that I will be competing in the Victorian Combined Masters category at the first round of the Victorian Country Series (VCS), which will be held at Ballarat on February 22-23. It will still be a challenge, as many young and talented competitors—some as young as 40—will be racing, but I’m looking forward to it.

Throughout my career, I’ve always taken the tough road to stay at the top, having won seven Australian championships, a New Zealand championship, and over 70 state championships across my 45-year journey.

I love this sport so much that I just can’t stay away, and I plan to be around the tracks for many more years to come. I’m excited to continue helping young drivers develop their skills and be part of their journey to the highest level—who knows, maybe even Formula One one day?

So, if you see me around the pits, don’t hesitate to say hello! I’ll be happy to offer advice and share the knowledge I’ve gained for over 4 decades. I’ve made many friends, both here in Australia and overseas, through my international competitions and my company, Remo Racing.

It’s not goodbye—it’s just the beginning of another exciting chapter in my karting career. I won’t be competing in the same classes I’ve been in for the past 45 years, but I’m looking forward to this new challenge. I’ll see you all at the VCS in Ballarat on February 22-23.

Cheers for now!
- REMO LUCIANI
