Another year back at one of my favourite events - Beechworth Granite Classic!

I was stoked to be back on the media team for this year’s addition as it’s always one of my highlight events of the year.

Cam and the whole team did another amazing job of whipping together such a smoothly run event and made sure to bring the perfect mix of great gravel riding and excellent party vibes - like they always do.

I got to spend another day on the back of a moto getting absolutely covered in dust and getting to see so so many friendly faces out on course! I even somehow managed to successfully eject myself from the back of the bike and avoid falling into a huge puddle - camera gear and all - when we stalled on a technical section. Sadly my moto pilot ended up taking a bit of a swim. 🫣

Thanks again to the crew for having me along, and I would HIGHLY suggest trying to get yourself to next year’s addition if you haven’t been before. You won’t regret it!

Single-handedly one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced.

Hooray! Updated print shop!

My 2023 season was a busy one, with plenty of races and lots of lovely little moments. I’d been meaning to update my print shop with photos from the season and I finally got around to it!

This is just a little taste but if you go and click the link in my bio, you can see a full collection of images from throughout the season to choose from. I even updated the listings so you can easily pick from a few stock sizes.

Like always though, if there’s a certain size, or you’d like something framed or there’s a better moment that I haven’t included, you can always message me and we can work on getting it done. :)

The lovely crew at brought me onboard to help capture the fun and festivities of the Granite Classic this year and it was a joy to be involved.

They sorted me out with a moto and an excellent pilot who whisked me all over the course, which I must say was much easier than the previous year where I rode it and photographed.

Excellent vibes all round with great weather, lots of smiles, delightful gravel and some of the most wonderful pit stops out on course. Not really much else you could ask for!

Was great to be back and loved spending a bit more time in the gravel scene. If you’ve got a gravel event coming up that you want documented, sing out! ✌🏼

Excited to be heading back to the high country this week to join in the festivities and capture ! It’s been a few years since I last went so I’m looking forward to another opportunity to soak up the lovely views. Hopefully will see a few friendly faces up there!

12 hours of sunlight - an excuse for a bunch of folks to go on silly bike rides all over the planet.

The March Equinox marks a point in the year where the Northern and Southern hemispheres share an (almost) equal experience of the sun. Whilst not quite exact, both hemispheres experience 12 hours of daylight, at the same time.

This was the perfect excuse for a bunch of folks in both ends of the world to head out and tackle some silly rides, capitalising on the 12 hours on daylight at their disposal.

One such ride happened down here in Tasmania, where and set out from Launceston taking in a nice big loop out East and back again to celebrate the moment.

I had the pleasure of following along (thankfully in the van) to help capture their ride.

Tasmania really did Tasmania things are proceeded to absolutely bucket down on the two about 15 minutes into their day and then continue to rain for the next 5 hours or so. Luckily then the weather did pick up, and while the rain did stop and the sun came out briefly, it never really warmed up.

333.88kms in 11:22hrs moving time were the final numbers. It was fun to see a whole group of people on opposite ends of the planet head out and tackle the same challenge at almost the same time. Maybe they’ll do it again at the next Equinox!

END NATIVE FOREST LOGGING NOW

Today kicked off the March in March For Forests and nipaluna came out in full force to make it known that we want our government to stop enabling and encouraging the logging of Tasmania’s native forests.

It was a morning full of energy, passion and powerful speakers coming together to say loudly that we’ve all had enough.

Today didn’t really feel like work at all. It’s funny how natural something feels when it’s something you care about.

We have an election coming up in lutruwita next week, and I truly hope that there’s change on the horizon and we see a change in our incredibly out of touch government.

There’s marches happening all around the country next Sunday, so if you’re feeling inspired from this, get down to your local march and make your voice heard!

I said I was going to follow up with my second half post of the Tour of Tasmania post and guess what - I didn’t. 😅

So better late than never, here’s the final six days of the Tour full of lovely vistas, sunshine, floating saunas and a cheeky little walk too!

It’s always a pleasure to join .tsama on her tours and help capture the experience. I’m looking forward to joining her on a few of her other tours around the island over the next few months!

Well and truly into this year’s 11-day Lap of Tassie Tour with and I’m only just making a post now. Whoops!

The first half of the tour gave us a good mix of scenery as we left Hobart and made our way up towards the Central Plateau, sat under the stars at Thousand Lakes Lodge before heading down to farm country and spending a few days in the shadow of Mount Roland and getting a cheeky walk in at Cradle Mountain.

We’ve done a lot more since then but I’m going to hold off for a few more days and then make it seem like I had these whole two post pre-planned and that I didn’t just put it all off and decide to do it right now instead of going to sleep. 😂

Also, Tassie’s garbage (clearly) so you probably don’t want to come. 😉

Feels like I was just getting started and now the Women’s TDU is sadly done for another year. :(

Another beautiful sunny day in the Adelaide hills didn’t disappoint though. Was great to see back at her best and lighting up Willunga Hill!

Whilst the main race may be over, there’s still plenty to look forward to over the next week - a crit with the women’s peloton, a few stages of the men’s race and a bunch of riding around the lively Adelaide hills!
