Yesterday Steve & Madelyn shared an intimate wedding at home officiated by the lovely Kath Tilly Celebrant.
The sun popped out for us at golden hour, we were so lucky for this brief reprieve after a couple of days of destructive winds and severe weather causing trees down and waterways to overflow.

This wedding was so satisfying as a photographer. Rhys & Rhiain trusted me completely and it’s a privilege I take seriously.
I was rapt to be able to work with them in Richmond, the nearest town to where I live, and the spot where Tony and I also chose to have our wedding photos captured 23 years ago.
A lot has changed since then, the least of which being that our wedding was shot on 12 rolls of 35mm film, and then processed at a minilab.
I shot Rhiain and Rhys on my Nikon Z7ii mirrorless DSLR. The techniques I use now are worlds apart from how I learned to shoot when I started my career as a photographer back in the 1990’s.
Some things never change, however. My love of photo journalistic style is my anchor- documenting real moments between people who are deeply connected to one another. These connections are everything to me.
