NIGHT TOUR - WILLOW COURT ASYLUM 💫

For the first time, & part of Dark M**O 2026, Willow Court offered a special one off nightime tour last night of the Nurses Quarters, Ladies Cottage and The Morgue, before finishing at the award winning New Norfolk Distillery for some delicious rum tastings 🥃

An incredible night of history, immersion, & stories… access to limited areas, Emma (guide) was super amazing & genuine with her knowledge & passion 🫶

Highly recommend visiting or booking a tour at Willow Court ✨

I love this time of the year! ❄️❤️

Hobart becomes so beautifully vibrant, celebrating the arrival of winter with the Dark M**O Winter Festival.
Attracting and encouraging people to venture outdoors, embrace the cool crispness under glowing red lights, warm up by fires, indulge in delicious foods & drinks, all while surrounded by incredible art ❤️

I did sneak over to the waterfront last night around 1am, so great to see there were people still out enjoying themselves & the atmosphere.

**(I’ve been surprised how many comments I receive regarding being a solo female traveller, camper, photographer… not negative comments, just genuine surprise 🤗
I’ve been very fortunate that I’ve not encountered any serious concerns regarding my safety or wellbeing.
Being hyper vigilant of surroundings, my previous line of work, have given me good understanding & skills to be as best prepared as I can be in any given situation.

Thought I would share this as I just had it sent to me, a radio interview I did with ABC Hobart on the day of the 30th anniversary of the Port Arthur Tragedy.

Earlier that day I had organised a memorial gathering for First Responders, the first time we had come together since. Members from across all emergency services attended, former PM Mr John Howard specifically came down for the day to show his support.

This interview was so respectfully done, and focussed on the benefits of nature and photography particularly for those who have experienced PTSI.

Through photography I have made so many connections with former and current Emergency Services workers across Australia, & further afield , a beautiful network of understanding and positive support amongst us 💙🫶

Winging it, hanging out the washing to dry while still raining 🌧️

Was watching this one for a little while, (it’s pair flew off to another tree), big ruffle shake-up to shrug off the excess water, then wings out in an attempt to dry 😄

During yesterday’s explorations I saw two pairs of the endangered Wedge Tailed Eagles, every encounter is special 🫶🦅🖤
