We’re honoured to be part of this cause and to help show the Fraser Coast community spirit by getting behind an amazing family as they work through the next steps in the journey towards finding a cure and spreading awareness for STXBP1—so Bonnie Mae can live the fullest life possible with the love and support of her family.

As part of our contribution, QuickPicPodz Photo Booth will be providing:

🌞 COMMUNITY UPDATE #2 — Bonnie Mae’s Way: The Sunshine Project 🌞

I’m honestly still blown away by the response to our very first fundraiser for a beautiful local little girl, Bonnie Mae. The amount of love and support from this community has been incredible, and since our first announcement, even MORE local businesses have jumped on board. It’s been so beautiful to see.

A huge thank you to:

🎨 A talented local Maryborough artist for donating an art piece for our lucky door raffles — every purchase on the night gets you a ticket!

🌻 COMMUNITY UPDATE – BONNIE MAE FUNDRAISER 🌻

The response since announcing this morning for our fundraiser has been absolutely unreal. The support, messages and local businesses reaching out has honestly been overwhelming in the best way.

The event is On June 12th (5pm–9pm), Sea Monkeys will be hosting a dessert night with $2 from every purchase going towards Bonnie Mae and raising awareness for STXBP1, a rare neurological disorder needing more research and support.

We’ve had so many incredible locals jump on board already:

💛 Kayla’s cupcakes kindly donating mini yellow cupcakes.
💛 Face painting with
💛 Fruity Pops popcorn + iceblocks
💛 Photo Booth experience.
💛 Lucky door prizes + one-night-only secret desserts menu.

This is Stacey’s first fundraiser, and a first for sea monkeys but definitely not our last if we can make a difference together.

Local businesses wanting to get involved are soooo welcome prizes, donations, support or even just sharing my posts and getting the word out all means the world.

5pm until 9pm.
Store will be open from 9am during the day until 2pm for set up and will reopen at 5pm.

As a mum of two myself, and someone who works alongside my own mum, supporting other mums has always been something close to my heart. For a while, I had been hoping to find a special family that Sea Monkeys could give back to in some way. While scrolling through the Hervey Bay Mums page, I came across Bonnie’s story, and it immediately touched my heart.

So Hervey Bay, Get ready for a night loaded with desserts, fun, community spirit, and giving back. ❤️

We’re pulling out all the stops with:

🍪 Loaded cookie doughs
🍫 Gooey brownies
🧋 Loaded teas
🥣 Açai bowls
🧇 Large Belgian waffles with brand-new toppings
🔥 Hot stick waffles
🥞 Dutch pancakes
🍰 Loaded frozen cheesecake pops

But this night is about more than just incredible desserts.

Every $2 spent on the night will go directly towards Bonnie May, a Hervey Bay local who is facing an incredibly rare condition called STXBP1. Her journey is helping raise awareness for a disorder so rare that many people have never even heard it and there’s not even a name for it.

At Sea Monkeys, community means everything. When one family needs support, we come together and show what a strong community can do.

💜 Every person who attends = helping make a difference.
