There is a reason people often buy art during transitions. A new home. A new chapter. The end of something or the beginning of something else.

Art has always served as a personal marker, a way of saying, "This is where I was when I chose this." Your collection of wall art sort of becomes your biography.

What chapter are you in right now?

Would "The Dance of the Raptor" be a good fit?

World Art Day is a good reminder that art is not a finished thing. It's a practice. One that continues because people choose to be part of it.

My collectors are collaborators in that sense. I make the art, they give it a home.

"Whispers of the Forest" exists in my studio until someone brings it into a place that means something to them.

Let's collaborate. Get 25% off through Saturday. Code ARTDAY26.

World Art Day exists because someone decided that art, as a living practice, deserved a day of recognition.

"The Beauty of Decay" is part of that practice.

For an independent artist, it's a moment to reflect on what it all means and say thank you.

That's why I'm offering 25% off with code ARTDAY26.

World Art Day is a moment to acknowledge that making and collecting art is not a luxury reserved for institutions. It belongs to everyone.

A question worth sitting with today: what is the first work of art you remember truly stopping in front of? Not the most famous. Not the most expensive. The one that made you feel something before you had the language to explain it.

I'd genuinely like to know. Share it below.

" #2 Garage and Barn" is part of a collection of work made for moments like that one.

Happy World Art Day.

Art isn't decoration. It's a record of what we noticed, what moved us, what we wanted to hold onto. "Early Morning at Shorncliffe Pier" is part of that conversation.

In honor of today, I'm offering 25% off in my shop through Saturday. Code: ARTDAY26.

Most people change their wardrobes with the season. Very few think to do the same with their walls.

Spring is actually one of the best moments to reassess what you are living with, not to redecorate constantly, but to ask whether the work on your walls still reflects who you are right now. Art is not furniture. It should evolve with you.

If you have been waiting for a reason to make a change, here's your permission slip.

"Polly Woodside: A Maritime Icon" is part of a growing collection.

"Early Morning at Hastings Point: A Fisherman's Solitude Against the Rocky Coastline" // https://www.derekclarkphotograhhy.com/warehouse-originals-limited-editions-standard-products/limited_edition_art_products/15

Size: 24x36

Materials: Fine Art

Early morning at the coast, the rocky shoreline meets the gentle waves. A lone fisherman is positioned against the backdrop of a cloudy sky, creating a serene atmosphere. The long exposure technique softens the water's movement, enhancing the tranquil scene. Captured with the Nikon Z8, this image highlights the rugged beauty of Queensland's coastline.

One of the most common mistakes in placing art is going too small. A single work hung at the center of a large wall often feels lost, and the temptation is to add more.

But... adding more is rarely the answer.

Before buying, measure the wall space you are working with and aim for a work that occupies between two-thirds and three-quarters of the width. The right scale makes everything in the room feel more deliberate and helps the artwork shine.

"Tree in the clouds" is sometimes available in varied size options. Worth considering before you decide.

Spring is the season when people actually follow through on the room changes they have been thinking about all winter. If you have been considering adding "Dramatic Sunset at Glass House Mountains" to your space but want something more durable and substantial than paper, canvas is worth looking at seriously.

Canvas prints carry a depth and presence that holds up over time. They do not require glass, they travel well from wall to wall, and they look right at home, whether a space is minimal or full. A considered choice for a season of renewal.
