It's been a crispy dry start to summer I found this Eastern bearded dragon chilling on the Mary Valley Rattler steam train line. It's right behind my house. The reptile activity has kicked off with a bang although this dragon is harmless the eastern brown snakes have also been spotted in numbers. The eastern brown is the 2nd most venomous snake in the world and I had one in my house

I have no idea what this is. Not even if it's fungi bacterial floral or like some giant scale it's soft and squishy cold...

I have no idea what this is. Not even if it's fungi bacterial floral or like some giant scale it's soft and squishy cold to touch. It's on the base of a native white mulberry and I'm just very curious to know what it is I'm hoping with my cross section of people on this page that you might be able to give me some hints

I've been by the and my shot is on the cover of their 2025 calendar. I've been a member of the society for 6 years I think. $25 a year to be a member you get this for free, access to fungi journals and the monthly newsletter and streamed presentations by fungi experts.
Also a little off topic but I also take picture of bands and it was a surprise to me to have my photos on an album! An exceptional Australian blues artist, picked my photos to be a part of his album Hear My Words. Click the link for a copy. I can't explain how this makes me feel after a year that included 2 different psych ward stays. I'm just so to be a part of both projects

Storm season has just started here. We had a doozy last night. These aren't from last night but I started photography shooting lightning from my verandah because I'm a It's been a bit droughty here no rain. no rain no mushrooms. This is a hopeful sign we might get some stuff popping up here.
