The Moonbi Magic Barrel Racing album is now live! 📸🐎

I’m still working my way through editing yesterday’s photos, but there are already plenty up in the gallery, with more being uploaded as I get through them — so make sure you check back over the next few days!

A big thank you to the Moonbi Magic Barrel Racing Inc. committee for having me back again. It’s always a pleasure to attend your events and capture the action, the horses and riders. Everything that makes these days so enjoyable to photograph.

I tried something a little different with this one 📸🔥

Instead of the usual single action shot, I wanted to create something that felt more layered, almost showing multiple moments of the run all in one frame. It’s not the typical barrel racing image we’re used to seeing, but honestly that’s what made it so fun to create.

Rebecca Dines & Blitzen Ta Fame absolutely gave me the perfect run to experiment with 👏

I’ve been enjoying trying different editing and shooting ideas lately and finding new ways to show the speed and movement of a run.

Really appreciate being welcomed out there and trusted to capture such an awesome event.

Saturday’s galleries are now LIVE! 👀

Photos should all be categorised into their respective events/classes, although there may be a few slightly mixed in here and there while sorting through everything 😅

There’s also a separate candid gallery with shots from warm-up, behind the scenes, and moments in between runs that I thought were too good not to share.

The Sunday Tiny Tots / Led galleries are still being worked through and should be uploaded tomorrow evening.

A few sneak peeks from Day 1 of the Moonbi Magic Classic Weekend Moonbi Magic Barrel Racing Inc.📸🔥

Couldn’t help myself… I’m way too excited not to share a few already.

These are only a small selection from the day. I’ve still got more than half the event to go through and edit properly 😅

I’ll be back out there again tomorrow for Day 2, but mainly focusing on some videography and behind-the-scenes style content.

For anyone chasing Sunday photos, Gavin Little Photographer. The Chute Shooter. will be there behind the lens covering the photography side of things 📸

So galleries probably won’t be fully finished until tomorrow night, but I wanted everyone to have something to look at in the meantime 👀
