🌌 I COULD SPEND HOURS EXPLORING THIS PART OF THE UNIVERSE… AND THURSDAY NIGHT, I DID! 😁

Four hours collecting light from the Horsehead and Flame Nebulae, two incredible neighbours in the constellation Orion.
The Sea like Horsehead is that famous dark shape, but look at all the detail and colour around it!

These objects are roughly 1,300 light-years away, which means the light reaching my camera started its journey long before we had digital cameras.

Four hours of exposure, and I still find it hard to believe we're able to capture things like this from the tiny tiny Dwarf Mini here on Earth. 🤯

Just when you think the Milky Way has given you everything, you try something a little different. 😁

For this image, I combined the zooming effect with a pull-focus technique to create the illusion of the galaxy rushing towards you. Pretty wild, isn't it? 🤯

The Milky Way season is almost over, and next month we'll be saying goodbye to the Galactic Core until next year.

🌌 ARE THEY REALLY FROM THE PLEIADES… OR DID THEY COME FROM HERE? 👽
Last night I pointed my little DWARF Mini towards the Pleiades — M45, the Seven Sisters.
This beautiful star cluster has fascinated humans for thousands of years, and it also happens to be at the centre of plenty of stories about aliens, ancient visitors and even possible connections to our ancestors. 👽😂
So… what if they really did come from there?
Maybe they were just looking for a good place to park. 😁

I let the DWARF Mini collect light for more than 4 hours, and I’m honestly blown away by what this tiny thing can pull out of the night sky.
Seven Sisters… or seven sisters-in-law from another galaxy? 😂

High in Canberra’s mountains, watching the core of the Milky Way slowly disappear behind the horizon.
And one tiny human standing there to put it all into perspective. ❤️
Sometimes you don’t realise how small we are until you look up.

🌌 WELCOME BACK, ORION! 🔭✨
Captured last night with the little DWARF Mini — the magnificent Orion Nebula (M42).
Orion is one of our great companions as the warmer nights arrive here in Australia, and I couldn’t resist pointing the little DWARF at it last night. 😁
Around 2½ and 3.5 hours of light gathering, and I’m still amazed at what this tiny telescope can pull out of the sky.
But now I need your help…

Which one do you prefer?
