Today is a pretty special day for our industry.
After months of work by a dedicated group of photographers from across Australia, ELPA – Early Learning Photographers Australia has officially launched.
The early learning photography landscape has changed significantly in recent years, with increasing expectations around child safety, consent, data security, and professional practice. ELPA has been created to help support photographers working in these environments and to provide resources tailored specifically to our unique sector.
We’re proud that Five Graces Photography has been involved in supporting the development of this initiative and contributing to the conversations that have helped bring it to life.
ELPA launches with practical resources including Child Safe Photography Standards, consent templates, risk assessment tools, and guidance designed specifically for photographers working in early learning settings.
As a business that photographs thousands of children each year, we believe child safety and professionalism should always be at the centre of what we do. It’s wonderful to see so many passionate photographers working together to strengthen and support our industry.
Congratulations to everyone who has contributed their time, expertise, and energy to getting ELPA off the ground. This is an exciting step forward for childcare photography in Australia.
