I'm a professional, industry accredited photographer based in the beautiful Avon Valley, just east of Perth, in Western Australia. I've been shooting weddings, family, events and commercial gigs since the days of film, offering a relaxed, natural, storytelling style of capture for a wide range of clients, in both metro and rural areas. I'm essentially a documentary and lifestyle based photographer

EVENT | Power of The Pulse Field Day, for Grain Industry Association of WA Inc, and collaborators Grains Research and Development Corporation and Living Farm, held in Piawaning WA. 💥

This one felt a little like coming home, or coming full circle, because I actually worked on the first grain legume project at Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development way back in 1993, which saw the introduction of legumes and pulses like chickpeas, lentils, vetch and faba beans to agriculture in WA.

And as a result of that time in my life, I still hold Plant Breeders Rights to a purple skinned faba bean I developed, named Deep Purple (original, I know!). And a Post Grad Thesis on Optimum Seeding Rates for Kabuli Chickpea (more riveting than it sounds, I promise!). 😆

So it was extra special to make the trip to Piawaning last week to document a Field Day dedicated to these great plant species, and to catch up with some old friends and colleagues from my time in Ag. So huge thanks to the GIWA team for inviting me along - it was definately one of the best Field Days I've ever been to! 😁
