Here it is, my second costume APOCALYPTIC. The costume & design which I created and crafted for an upcoming event.
The backstory behind these costumes is rooted in Craig's long-standing fascination with the theme. He has read all the novels, watched every TV series and any movie that is APOCALYPTIC.
Taking on this challenge was no easy feat, particularly when it came to deliberately roughing up the workmanship to achieve the desired aesthetic. I had to push past my instincts to create perfect, polished pieces and instead introduce deliberate imperfections, distressing the materials and accessories to convey a sense of wear and tear. This process was quite challenging, and it took several days for me to become comfortable with the destruction of my own work. The use of beautiful leather and intentionally scratching it with a harsh wire brush was particularly difficult. I also added stains to enhance the worn look. The search for some of the materials and accessories was a long and arduous process, with order after order arriving over the course of several months. At some point, I had to draw the line and declare the project complete.
One of the standout pieces is the backpack tank, which I am particularly fond of, found on a road side pickup. As part of my design process, I repurpose leather from discarded lounges, carefully cleaning and oiling the material before storing it for future use. However, I had never come across leather as soft and natural as the pieces I used for this project. It was as if the universe had delivered exactly what I needed. Also out for a road side pick up.
I was so thrilled to have found the perfect materials, including the beautiful leather, and I couldn't wait to bring the design to life. The end result is a testament to the idea that one person's trash can indeed be another person's treasure. I am incredibly happy with how the costumes turned out, and I believe the girls would now make a fantastic addition to my wall.
I find some images of the girls surviving together to be powerful but my heart is a bit torn like Morgan Brights costume 😬

Snow White ❄️🌹 2012 all REAL.
The power of a photography.
A photo shoot that obviously is still working it's magic ✨️
Maddy messaged me with this story & I had to laugh, & well I just had to share.
Because its just too cute & very entertaining hearing the thoughts of a 4 year old.
I absolutely adore they way this kid thinks 🥰😍💖

Snow White was Shot back in 2012
Maddy (Snow White) was just 16 years old at the time.
Just a teen living in the moment & now a mother of two 💕

Maddy showed her young daughter Hazel this photo of her as Snow White. Hazel is only 4 & a half years old.
She asked Hazel while pointing to Snow White in the photo, who is that?
"It's Snow White"! Hazel replied confidently.
"No, its me".
"No it's Snow White," Hazel again replied 😂
I have no doubt Hazel obviously knows her stuff 🌹
I've since been told the story continued with Hazel since adding that Cam, her dad kissed Snow White & work her up 😍.

From my imagination, a creation brought to life ⚔️
This entire costume for Morgan I've worked on for months for an event scheduled to take place this year.
Thankfully, Morgan Bright and Gretel the white German shepherd 🐕‍🦺 kindly offered to model it before it is used.
All the leather is recycled ♻️ from lounges that were destined for landfill. I thoroughly clean and then oil all the leather before collecting and storing it for future use. Morgan Bright thank you for bringing my creation to life.

Have you ever fantasized about a Fairy Tale Christmas 🎄 ✨️ 🎁🎅
One that involves the whole family, providing an entertaining and keepsake experience, while also showcasing each person's distinct personality?
Not AI 🤦‍♀️, but a true representation of the family, complemented by numerous fun activities.
This is what it could potentially look like. Just add candy canes and start shooting. For this shoot, additional components were included to achieve the final look.

Occasionally, I am asked, "Do you also shoot normal stuff?" Of course, I do. I simply choose not to publicly post people's private albums. Plus, I believe it's harder to appreciate an album of people you just don't know. But here I am posting an Urban Maternity shoot, being "normal stuff" and a private album. The reason being, I love that the clients wanted something a little out of the ordinary and gave me free rein on the whole thing. So, this is what my "normal stuff" shooting style looks like for those who ask. Thanks to this young family to be for letting me share 💖

Happy 21st Morgan for Sunday. I literally have thousands of photos of you growing up, but it still never feels like enough 🥰
Because it will be Mothers day on her birthday I'm going to share these now knowing everyone as well as myself & Morgan will be busy with family on Sunday 🌻
Recently Morgan & I visited family in Lithgow which feels like our second home. The area so abundant with history & friendly people our time there always flys..
I was so keen to use the area as my backdrop as we have nothing like it
around our area. So I packed the car to the roof & off we went.

Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support & helping with the process of picking a favourite.
From a lot of thought, time & preparation I just love to finally see it all come to life on the wall.
It definitely makes all the work so worthwhile when starting at the end result & reflecting back to the moment it all come together.

The Acrylic finish is punchy & just like your phone or monitor being metalic & reflecting light, it's definitely my favourite & comes ready to hang & no frame required.

When a dream becomes reality.
Sally has not long brought Murphy into her life & the bond is already strong. Strong enough that Sally wants to admire him on a couple of enlarged Canvases..
Last night Sally massaged me to say I love all of these, so how do I just pick a couple to enlarge?
It's really lovely that she loves so many, but often I have the same dilemma. As I edit anything I love, so I'm of no help to her.
Hopefully you can all help Sally, as I'm sure she would really appreciate your input.
