Last year I shot two weddings for a budget wedding photography company. At the time of taking the jobs which were both in the same week, I thought I was working directly for another photographer. However, on the day before the 2nd when I contacted the bride to confirm details as I had not been briefed, it quickly became apparent that something was amiss when the bride said who are you? and I got a stern warning from budget company that I was not to contact the bride.

I did the job and I did it well as I always do, considering I only got most of the details straight from the couple on wedding day. But it got me investigating the practices budget wedding photography companies in general, which I believe carry risk for wedding couples, so I put a blog together highlighting a few of them.

There are many more, but I wanted to keep post as brief as possible and highlight just the major risks.

An honest, balanced look at how many budget wedding photography companies actually operate. What couples need to know before booking and the risks that couple need to be aware of.
