Story behind the making of this video-

You may have seen I made a stop motion reel a few weeks ago that was inspired from a creative outpouring of thankfulness of God’s provision for our personal circumstances.
Well, I’ve never made a stop motion animation like that before, so it was completely new- and took me 2 full days to make just 30 seconds🤯!

That night, after I posted it, Caitlin messaged me in shock after watching it saying she had told her husband of a specific vision she had wanted for her song; scrapbook feel and a hillside etc using this exact type of animation for her lyric video (stop motion)… but couldn’t find anything or anyone who could do what she had in mind.
Also she has small children and it was all too overwhelming to organise so she’d given up on the idea.
Although amazed by the ‘coincidence’, she couldn’t ask me- “too much work for you!” she said🙅🏻‍♀️

However, God had already gone before us and orchestrated things behind the scenes to make a way.

Little did she know that for a long time I had this secret desire to one day make a lyric video and felt strongly that God was inviting me through this open door.
I wanted to do it!!!
Her lyric video vision would become a reality and my dream fulfilled in the process.
So good!

To make this, every single frame is an image crafted and put together in photoshop and exported one. by. one.

There are 856 images!

From when she was little, my daughter has had an insatiable appetite for books.

This vision of her was formed in my mind recently after I watched her devour 21 novels in 16 days! …and thick ones might I add.

For someone who is NOT remotely bookish, I watch on in some sort of bemused awe…🤨

Her head disappears behind the pages and she is transported to so many different worlds, experiencing things from many different perspectives, everyday.

C.S Lewis writes,

“But in reading great literature I become a thousand men and yet remain myself. Like the night sky in the Greek poem, I see with a myriad eyes, but it is still I who see. Here, as in worship, in love, in moral action, and in knowing, I transcend myself; and am never more myself than when I do.”

This is not enough to inspire me to pick up a book though😂

I may not be able to sit still to read, but I sure can sit still to make art. It was so much fun to bring the vision to life and anyone who knows her well would agree it sums her up perfectly👌🏻
