Honestly… the “wild” kids (even the BIG kids aka daddies) always make the BEST photos 😂🤍

Your kids don’t need to sit still.

They don’t need to smile perfectly.

They just need to be them.

That little moment when… chaos turns into something beautiful.

I just guide things naturally so I can capture what's uniquely, beautifully and wildly them 🥰

When I sent this mama her sneak peek, she messaged me saying she was teary. When the full gallery landed in her inbox? Full-on happy cries 🥹

That right there is exactly why I do this.

We spent a beautiful hour chasing golden light in the parklands—just a gorgeous family of four doing what they do best: loving each other. No stiff posing, no forced "look at the camera and smile" rules. Just a six-year-old running wild, a baby cuddled close to Mum’s chest, and Dad making everyone laugh.

My goal is always to shoot with heart and intention. I want to capture honest, real memories so perfectly that twenty years from now, you look back at these photos and instantly get that exact same feeling you had looking at your babies today.

These fleeting, beautiful, messy years go by in a blink. But the art we make from them? That lasts forever. 🤍

FEELING FLAT

In my latest photographic series, 'Feeling Flat,' we explore the structural integrity of the human face when subjected to the immense flattening felt by a typical Tuesday afternoon in a modern household. From the emotional turmoil of a toddler's dehydration and the absolute refusal to drink water, to the 'I-haven't-slept-since-2019' fatigue of the mother - we’re all just trying to maintain our shape in a world full of hard surfaces. It’s a study in monochromatic minimalism, high-contrast lighting, and the existential dread mums and kids can sometimes feel.

Sometimes the 'compression' isn't caused by a tantrum, but by a surge of pure, unadulterated adoration. It’s that maternal urge to squeeze until they’re two-dimensional, kissing their faces into a delightful distortion until they are quite literally flattened by the weight of being loved.

If you follow my work, you know I live for the quiet, powerful moments between a mother and her child(ren). But let’s be honest: some days aren’t quiet, and they certainly aren’t soft. Sometimes, they just feel… flat. I created this series to honour the comedic side of the chaos. It’s an invitation to step away from the pressure of the ‘perfect portrait’ and embrace the delightfully and hilariously distorted truth of raising a family.

Now booking families who love to embrace the witty, absurd, and the humourously adventurous side of life. Stay flat, my friends!

P.s.

'Feeling Flat' features me and the chaos-creators.

To the mother holding the light when the rest of the world has gone quiet:

There is a specific kind of magic in the way you carry the weight of a small life. It’s in the muscle memory of your arms, the way they instinctively cradle, sway, and protect, even when they are weary.

We often speak of the sweetness of the child, but we rarely whisper about the war within the mother. There is a raw, untamed courage in the woman who fights the shadows that no one else sees — the intrusive thoughts, the crushing weight of "not enough," and the silent battles waged in the middle of the night.

Motherhood is often fighting the greatest war you have ever known - the one within your mind. Yet, here you are. Even when the light feels dim, you choose to be the lantern — the fire that forges a path through the unknown, transforming your own weary strength into the warmth that keeps a whole world from turning cold. You are the one who conquers the storm inside so you can be the safe home outside. You are the warrior who stands guard over their peace while you're still navigating your own. And even on those days you feel like you aren't, you still are by just...being. Existing in their world is sometimes just enough. Being close by is sometimes just enough.

Sometimes, the days feel like a blur of being needed, and it’s easy to feel like you’ve faded into the background of your own life. But look at the way that light catches you. Look at the strength in your silhouette.

To every mother navigating the beautiful, heavy, soul-stretching exhaustion of these early years: You are more than a mother. You are the sun and the moon to someone who is just beginning to learn what love looks like.

You are seen. Your tired eyes, your fierce heart, and the quiet, monumental ways you show up, over and over again. You are doing a work that matters, even in the shadows.

In the years to come, when the lantern is put away and the little ones are grown, let these moments remind you: 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙤.

I see you.

Photographic Series Title: 𝑯𝒖𝒓𝒂!

𝑯𝒖𝒓𝒂! is a photographic series that captures the exhilarating bond between a Polish-born father and his Australian-born sons through the laughter filled game of being tossed high into the air. The title, the Polish word akin to the English word “Hurrah!”, is a battle cry traditionally used in Eastern European history symbolizing courage, defiance, and unity. In this context, "𝑯𝒖𝒓𝒂!" becomes a modern-day rallying cry of joy, strength, and trust between father and child.

Each time their father launches them skyward, he shouts “Hura!” — a sound now etched into their childhood memories as both a playful cheer and a call to courage. Set against the dramatic seascape of the South Australia's Southern Most Point, these photos explore that fleeting space between fear and delight, uncertainty and complete faith. Beyond their visual charm, these moments are supported by research that reveals the developmental importance of paternal play and how a father's act of naturally throwing their child into the air nurtures emotional resilience, risk tolerance, and psychological stability later in life. It builds an embodied sense of trust: “I can fall, and I will be caught.”

As their mother and photographer, I’ve witnessed how this joyful repetition has helped shape my sons into bold, grounded little people who rarely hesitate to take risks, recover from failure, and rise again and again.

The final image in the series, showing both boys with arms folded in playful mimicry of their father standing proudly behind them, captures the long-term imprint of this connection. It’s a portrait of growing independence and deep confidence built upon the foundation of love, play, trust and secure attachment.

𝑯𝒖𝒓𝒂! is a celebration of fatherhood, the psychology of play, and the legacy of joy passed from one generation to the next - quietly building resilient children ready to take flight.

Sometimes, love is found in the quietest of glances.

I was blessed to witness and capture this raw, unfiltered moment between two incredible souls. It wasn’t posed, it wasn’t planned—it was real. Every detail whispered a story of love, trust, and a connection so deep it took my breath away.

This is why I do what I do. To freeze these priceless moments in time—moments that one day, you’ll look back on and remember exactly how it felt to be wrapped in that love. This passion of mine has even been recognized with three Viewbug photography awards, but the true reward will always be the memories I get to preserve for people like you!
