it’s not the location that makes a motherhood/family photo beautiful & valuable.
it never was and it never will be.
not your outfit, not how you look or what you have.
it’s not in how tidy and perfect it all looks.
it’s not in controlling everything. and it is also not in the pose or “knowing what to do”.
it is in how you surrender to the moment. how present you are as you step into your child’s universe.
how available you are to create real memories.
in how affective you allow yourself to be.
it is in the way you look at them and see them for who they are, not through the expectations of what they could be.
a valuable photo is in the eyes-to-eyes.
in the care you show every day.
in their childhood’s affective memories. like that cake you bake every week,
or the scent of your home,
or the flowers you buy weekly that make your home more colorful,
or those shell decorations you bought because you know how obsessed your child is with them.
a valuable photo is in true connection, in a moment you can almost hear.
it’s in showing the collections that mean so much to your family, and always will.
