I am Mandy, hence the name MNDY Photography (It’s pronounced “em en dee why” photography, but “mandy” photography is fine also.) I’ve worked in advertising, marketing + partnerships for the last 10 years + after growing up in Melbourne, I now live in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. I am unapologetically a food addict, all day, everyday! (But I hate bananas.)

Currently dreaming about exploring

every corner of New York City + taking photos of flamingos in Aruba.

I’m a lover of plants, road trips + coffee + trying little by little to do my bit towards a sustainable planet.

PODCAST PHOTOS / Thank you to beautiful Ash Cam from RESET | Podcast, Walk Club & Retreats for inviting me along to capture her conversation with Lisa Messenger from Collective Hub and the author of the book that started it all for me. Her book Daring & Disruptive was the motivation and inspiration I needed to start my own business all those years ago. And after a chance meeting in 2017, it was a full circle moment to meet Lisa again in this way.

Ash’s interview with Lisa is live now, definitely worth a listen! And if you ever come across an old Collective Hub print mag, do yourself a favour and have a flip through. This woman and this mag pioneered female entrepreneurship when it was a relatively unused term in Australia, and now they are launching Collective Hub 2.O – listen to the pod to find out all about the next iteration.

LAUNCH SHOOT / Such a pleasure working with such a great team on the launch shoot for

Having already worked with a branding agency, founders Aaron and Rachel provided a really solid brief upfront. A clear vision on the style and the type of photos they were after, it was an exciting brief.

From there I worked to pull the rest of the team together. A location that suited their light, bright brand. Models that conveyed their perfect target market. And a content team for video vision.

The shoot was a super fun day, and I'm proud to play a small part in this brands journey.

BEAUTIFUL CHAOS / Some say hectic, I say beautiful chaos. Whether that’s working with your baby crawling around calling out for mum, or your dog licking my ankles while I’m shooting, working in between client appointments and an operating salon or managing multiple models or shooting the food before it goes bad, I’ve worked in some less than ideal conditions, but no excuses, we always make it work!

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH VOOMIE JR / When Gold Coast kids supplement brand @ voomiejr came to me with a product launch shoot brief, I knew it was going to be an exciting project. Four child models courtesy of , a six-hour lifestyle shoot on location at the beautiful and products designed for busy young brains.

Read on to learn how the shoot came together, what makes kids lifestyle product photography different from adult brand shoots and what Australian product brands should know before booking this style of work.

About Voomie Jr. and the Brief:
Voomie Jr. is a focus and sleep supplement range for children aged five and up. The brand's identity is built around the idea that busy brains deserve real support and the visual brief reflected that perfectly: colour-forward, warm, genuine and grounded in real moments from a kid's day.

The brief asked for imagery covering two parts of a child's routine: the morning, from breakfast and packing school bags through to the school run, and the evening, from winding down with a good book to cosy bedtime moments. Every image needed to feel like it could have been taken in a real family home, not a set.

The colour palette was soft and deliberate: pastels, creams and the brand's own blues, purples, oranges, yellows, and pinks. The Voomie Jr. products were meant to pop against clean, neutral backgrounds without competing with the kids themselves.

We shot at The Fig House, a beautiful light-filled location on the Gold Coast that handled both the airy morning energy and the softer, lamp-lit evening scenes without needing to move between venues.
