Cyclone Alfred may bring extreme weather conditions including flooding, storm surge and rain to Southeast Qld. Residents, businesses and community groups are advised to prepare now.

- Fill your car with fuel or charge it. Do not park under a tree.
- Know your property's flood risk.
- Secure loose outside items like furniture, gas bottles and play equipment. Clear your yard and gutters. Trim overhanging tree branches.
- Pack your emergency kit with essential items including a portable radio, batteries and a first aid kit .

SES has opened up public pick-up point for sandbags from 8am to 8pm:
-Caloundra Depot, Ulm Street South, Caloundra.
-Lighthouse Rugby Club in Caloundra located at Lighthouse Park 81 Arthur Street, Caloundra.
-Maroochydore โ Hinterland Lawn Bowls Club โ Corner of Elizabeth Daniels Way & Syd Lingard Drive, Buderim
-Coolum Depot โ 27 Elizabeth Street, Coolum Beach
-Nambour SES Depot โ 38-70 Woombye Palmwoods Road, Woombye
You can collect them or you can fill sandbags yourself.
