〰️ 3 tips to nail your product launch ✔️
1️⃣ plan your photography at least 2-3 months in advance
- you want to start drip-feeding your content well before launch day - but to do this well, you need the bank of content to back it.
ever been having a bad day and the thing that sends you over the edge is a bag/sleeve caught on a door handle?
makes you want to scream into a pillow, right?
don’t leave your photography to the last minute and risk the ‘sleeve caught on the door handle’ email telling you we can’t fit you for another month or two, throwing off your whole launch plan.
get those galleries locked in early!
2️⃣ know how much you want to invest
- if the manufacturing lords are good to you and you have all of your product ready to go - you might want to invest $$$ in one larger scale project to tick all the boxes at once so you can potter through your launch campaign at your own pace.
OR
if you’re battling delivery delays - a retainer might be a better option to spread things over a few months, giving you a bit more flexibility with budget and what content you need captured.
3️⃣ mix up your shot list
- having a mix of studio-styled and lifestyle images gives you a better chance at keeping consumers hooked on what you’re about to drop.
no one wants to see the same two teaser-images over and over, with different text overlays (spolier: us serial-shoppers will just keep scrolling 🫣).
give them that aesthetic lifestyle shot, that bathroom shelfie, that hero shot - the lot!
and for my final, bonus tip 🪩
- don’t forget to breathe.
new product launches are equal parts stressful and exciting.
ride the waves. breathe through the speedbumps. hire a kickass product photographer (hi, me) who will take care of the little things, so you can focus on the important stuff like making sure your website looks sleek and your countdown timers are locked and loaded 🕺🏼
