On trek in Peru. About 4200m above sea level.
Less than 10 years ago, that glacier covered the entire top of that mountain. You can see the black line where it’s now just all rock.
Everywhere you go in Peru you see signs of climate change. The people are so dependant on the land and the climate for their survival. Every person you speak with, stress the importance of global warming and how it’s affecting their everyday life. Meanwhile, here in Australia, the people elected to serve us, are arguing if climate change is even a real thing.
Ok rant over..
