Creating Art From Landscapes I have been interested in photography since my early twenties when I purchased my first SLR Film Camera.

For a long time I have only dabbled with basic features. Inspired by local and other National photographers through the introduction of Social Media, my passion has grown.

It’s been awhile since I’ve had the camera out and I was excited to be back in Tasmania cleaning out the cobwebs. But the excitement didn’t last too long 😔. Soon after shooting these images I was facing away from the camera organising equipment in my bag when I heard a crash and breaking glass, my stomach dropped as I knew what that meant. I turned around and found my whole camera on the ground in between the rocks. Completely destroyed my 20mm Lens and a few filters, luckily the camera seemed undamaged. It turns out that I didn’t tighten the tripod clamp enough, the ball head dropped forward and the camera slide out. The other issue was I had bought one other lens on the trip. Talk about amateur moments 😩

This is a 4 image vertical panorama shot in landscape orientation. I qite like shooting in th format as it makes it easy to capture more of the sceene from tight spaces.

A short overnight stay at Granite Gorge Nature Park during our FNQLD trip was the perfect place for some astro photography. This spot was a little sketchy at night with a great big void directly in front of me.

I was very much looking forward to capturing some in the of but the weather didn’t play nice. I o ok my had a small window of reasonably clear skies to the north. This is the old shearer’s shed at no longer in use but a great subject to capture

With the Grass Trees flowering it really is the perfect time to be out shooting. The antenna like flowers work really well with the night sky as a backdrop.
