When that happens, the magic takes care of itself.

As a photographer, I see it every time —
the bond between mothers and daughters deepens with each passing year.

What feels like an ordinary afternoon now becomes a treasured memory later.

One you’ll look back on and realise just how much was being held in that moment.

This season has been full.
Busy. Loud. Emotional. Beautiful.

And I want to pause for a moment to acknowledge the mums who chose to be in the moment with their families — even when life didn’t look picture-perfect.

The mums who came to sessions with kids in tow.
The mums whose partners were working, away, or couldn’t make it.
The mums who still showed up, knowing these memories matter.

I want to say this clearly:
It’s okay to capture your family as it is right now.

Photos don’t have to wait for the “right time.”
Or the perfect schedule.
Or everyone being available at once.

Some seasons are about doing the best you can with what you have — and choosing to preserve that chapter anyway.

I genuinely applaud families who prioritise keepsakes.
Who understand that memories are built in the in-between.
That these photos aren’t just for today — they’re for the years ahead.

Editing Christmas Minis feels like re-living each session all over again.
I remember the jokes we shared, the way the kids warmed up, the moments that made everyone laugh — and then I see them frozen in a frame.

It’s so heartwarming to witness the joy that exists within families, and I’m constantly reminded why this work matters so much to me. 🤍📸
