Very proud to announce my image “Rays of Light” took out the top spot in the Portraits category in this years Picture of the Year competition and “The Last Bite” received a special mention in the Animal Behaviours category.

Both of these photos were captured on the Southern Great Barrier Reef which is a region I am fortunate to dive quite often.

Rays of Light shows a beautiful white spotted eagle ray gliding toward me in some of the most perfect lighting I have ever seen, and The Last Bite captures three turtles fighting over the final few pieces of jelly fish!

Cook Island was at its best yesterday 🐢

Perfect chance to give the new RC232 strobes a solid test.

Coming from my old DS230s, the new setup feels much cleaner and simpler in the water without needing fibre optic converters. It also made setting up and packing down the rig noticeably quicker (always a big plus in my book!)

And of course, still getting that same beautiful colour and light quality Ikelite strobes are known for 👌🏼
