It’s definitely a surreal feeling knowing that this will be the last ever album of photos I’ll edit for the drivers who sent it at the last session at Archerfield Drift Park.

My story started in Feb of 2019 at the Adam LZ event. I’d grown up around cars my entire childhood and drifting was something I was absolutely fascinated with. I was fresh to photography, and had never shot a moving car before but hey, off I went to try something new. Trust me when I say that those first photos were genuinely horrific 🤣

4 years and tens of thousands of photos later, I can comfortably say I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for all those Thursdays and Sundays spent at the track. The Elmo looking sunburn, the sweat and dirt and the rubber I’d still be finding in my hair 2 days later was all worth it to end up being able to capture moments like these. For a solid period of time, I’d scroll through marketplace and find my photos being used for listings and it gave me a kick every single time seeing my photography get shared around.

When COVID hit, I got the chance to progress the drawing skills and draw some of my own photos. 99% of those drawings are now on the walls of people’s homes.

I’ve met so many incredible people with so many different stories. I’ve made a few good friends along the way, and none of this would’ve ever happened if I hadn’t set foot past that front gate in 2019.

The only regret I have was letting work and life get in the way for so long, to the point where I put the camera and the pencils down.
But, I’m still incredibly proud of how much I’ve managed to accomplish in the last 4 years.

To Luke and Tiarnah, thank you for pouring your heart and soul (and a s**t tonne of $$$) into a place where drivers, volunteers, photographers and spectators all had a place to call home. I wish you both all the best on your next adventure.

RIP Archy - thank you for all the memories 💙

(It’s like 1am and I have to be up for work in like 2 hours, I still haven’t learnt to adult yet whoops)
