More than eight seconds.

I went out to fall_seven_ranch expecting to photograph bull riding.

What caught my attention just as much was everything that happens before the gate opens.

The preparation. The nerves. The encouragement from the sidelines. And the way these guys genuinely back each other.

They’re being given an incredible opportunity to learn their craft here, and they’re tough as nails.

Pretty special to be invited in to photograph a little piece of it.

Meet a tiny bonnet mushroom (Mycena sp.).

These little cuties help recycle fallen timber back into the forest, turning dead wood into nutrients that support new life.

This guy was only a few millimetres tall and hidden on the side of a big tree at Nightcap National Park.

It’s a reminder that an entire ecosystem exists at a scale most of us rarely notice.

Huge congratulations to for creating a dish that’s been named in the Top 100 delicious dishes to eat in 2026. So well deserved!

It’s certainly one of my absolute favourites, and I defs cannot wait to be back for that incredible chawanmushi again. Here’s to celebrating great food, talented people, and unforgettable dining experiences!
