Time truly flies!

My earliest memory of this lovely young lady was when she was a toddler. I used to babysit her from time to time. Fast forward 15 years, and she’s become my most trusted little helper, babysitting my boys whenever my daytime job calls.

I’m so glad I had the chance to photograph her. Not only was it an experience working with a senior, but also I got to see a once little girl who has grown into a beautiful young lady!

Most families get into the water at the end of the session, but if you are not feeling it on the day, that’s totally ok by me. The sea was rough, the wind was chilly, the little boy was hesitate to get his feet wet. We opted for a few images on the sand before he got overwhelmed, and it still turned out beautifully.

Our last trip to North Stradbroke Island. We were blessed with one day of sunshine then rained through the rest of the trip. While the rain had a short break we ran to the beach and let the kids play so I could grab some family photos. The only chance I get to photograph them these days.

Looking forward to our coming trip.

I often ask myself what I want to shoot for an in-home session. Except for a few nicely sitting or standing portraits. It’s the details, the daily activities, the lazy lay down on the couch moment, the game time, the shared cup of tea or even just simply kids sitting around the bench watching Mum and Dad cooking. It’s those little things you do every day with your kids, it’s those times your kids lean against you quietly, and you think: oh gosh I wish I could freeze this forever!

So thank you Dora for allowing me to capture your beautiful family in your gorgeous boutique apartment.

Celebrate Mother’s Day with some beautiful “Mum & Me” photos! My Mother’s Day Mini Sessions are now live. And they are perfect for busy moms who are usually behind the camera.

After a recent family trip, I was reminded of how much I still love capturing memories of my family, and how cherished I feel when hubby captures an image of me and my boys together. That’s why I am excited to offer these mini sessions, so you can have those special moments captured too.

Here are the details:
- 20-minute mini-session at a beautiful beach location (North Burleigh or Currumbin)
- Up to 5 people (maximum of 3 adults) per session
- Mums, kids, and grandmothers are welcome
- A digital gallery of high-resolution images to choose from
- 6 digital high-resolution images of your choice
- $199 with the option to upgrade

Perhaps it’s because I was born and grew up in a mountain area. I’ve always had a special connection with forests and woods. So when Sarah chose to have her photo shoot in the woods instead of the beach, I was more than excited about that. The repetition of the pine trees, with the golden light streaming through, makes it an ideal location for a photo session.
