As Michelle Obama (the cat) is somewhere between 9 and 13 years old already, and Taika Waititi (the cat) is slowly growing from a noisy, mischievous boy into a quieter, lazier gentleman, I’ve found myself wanting to capture myself with them more and more... Unfortunately, they weren’t particularly interested in being models that day. Still we managed to get a couple of lovely shots, and I’ll keep bothering them for more photos to add to the memory bank.

(if you're confused about Obama's age - when I adopted her the vet estimated she was somewhere between 3 and 7 years old, alas she is now somewhere between 9 and 13)

Hiking in the Polish Tatras...
Misty, cloudy days with so much walking and exploring. Climbing up Rysy - the highest peak of the Polish Tatras, was an absolute highlight. Much of the way up was nearly vertical climbing, assisted by chains - safe to say my heart was beating hard in my chest. Looking down was not an option.
Once up the view was cloudy and foggy. The clouds where softening rocky tips of the mountains. It was beautiful. Once in a while the clouds would part and you would see the view below.
Coming down was even scarier as it started raining and the chains became slippery. On the way back, it got dark and we saw wolves! When I saw them I knew instantly that these are no foxes just by the way they moved.
