The Three Sisters in Katoomba

The Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains, NSW, are an iconic rock formation steeped in Aboriginal legend. The story tells of three sisters—Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo—who were turned to stone by a tribal elder to protect them during a tribal conflict. Sadly, the elder was killed, leaving the spell unbroken. Today, these majestic peaks stand as a symbol of culture, history, and natural beauty.
